About Multipl

We build software that reveals what organizations are really spending - in time, money, and attention.

The origin

It started with a simple observation: People are notoriously time-blind. If they can't see it, they don't overmuch care about it.

We noticed that teams would agonize over a $500 software purchase while casually scheduling a 90-minute meeting with 12 people - a decision that can cost just as much, or more. Software has a price tag. Meetings don't.

That asymmetry - visible costs get scrutinized, invisible costs compound - is the foundation of most organizational waste.

We decided to build tools that fix that visibility problem.

Our mission

1

Make waste visible

Before anyone can reduce waste, they need to see it. Our tools surface the hidden costs that accumulate in plain sight.

2

Inform, don't mandate

We believe informed people make better decisions. We don't tell teams what to do - we show them the real cost of their choices and let them decide.

3

Multiply by subtracting

The best productivity gains come not from doing more but from doing less, smarter. Our tools aim to help teams identify and eliminate the waste that quietly drains resources, and direct that energy elsewhere.

What we believe

Transparency

Hiding information doesn't make problems go away. It just delays recognition of the consequences of that data.

Simplicity

Overly complex tools often don't get used. We build tools that remain accessible at depth.

Measurable impact

If you can't measure it, you can't improve it. Every tool we build provides clear, measurable insights without dictating behavior. In respecting Goodhart's Law: "When a measure becomes a target, it ceases to be a good measure" we avoid making features that provide risky prescriptive advice, instead relying on data-driven evidence to inform user actions.

Privacy first

Individual data stays individual. We help organizations see patterns, not spy on people.
